DMDC (Dina Meyer Dot Com) started out originally as Beautifully, Simply, Dina Meyer. As I sat staring at my blank graphic in Photoshop during my rather late nights spent putting the original site together, I really couldn't think of anything better to call the original site. I now realize that no matter what I ended up calling it, this site is what it is... an incredibly strange hobby to dedicate one's time to! Really though, if someone you didn't know created a site with your picture on it, with a biography about your life since grade school, and a list of your prior jobs with pictures of you doing them to go along with it, what would you think about that?

Think about it--we've all probably had the "celebrity wall" in our bedroom growing up. Male or female, everyone had that one famous person they had a little crush on in junior high or high school. Whether you came through the 70s with David Cassidy or Bo Derek, or the 80s with Cindy Crawford or Scott Baio, or the 90s with, hell, take your pick, you had one. I myself for some reason developed a small crush on Dina and let it develop itself into this site. Damn it, that whole Lucinda Nicholson/Brandon/90210/Relationship with the sexy teacher thing was just too potent a fantasy for a young man to ignore!

Seriously though, how do you explain to people in your life that you run a celebrity fan site and, what's worse, you now own their domain name to boot! I'm sure when I originally designed the site (read: had no life), I wasn't thinking of such things, but things are a bit different now...now I have no time! My crush on Dina has subsided into mere fan interest on par with any other celebrity whose acting I appreciate, but what am I to do with the site?

I've been searching for the answer to this riddle for some time (shut it down, leave it open, shut it down, leave it open), and it appears that answer has finally come. Dina's publicist is now interested in taking an active role in providing information to the site, so how can I possibly give up now?
